Community Discussion > Shipping from Toronto to Melbourne
Hi Yuri,
I only had 1 square meter when I came here and it cost me a total of around $750.00 There is always extra cost at port and for customs ect... I decided originally to take the cheapest cie but it ended that I had to pay all these extra fees. So I propose you that you take a cie that All fees are included it is much easier overall. I don't remember the cie I used but it was OK. It was from Montreal.
Also when you go pick up your stuff at destination, arrive much earlier then the given time because it takes very long. You have to wear closed shoes (we didn't know and had to turn around and go buy some shoes as it was far from our place...). Good luck with everything!!!

I'm moving from Toronto to Melbourne with a few boxes of personal effects in June. How have people on this forum done this? Any suggestions as to the cheapest way? Any suggestions as to reputable shipping companies?
Thanks!
Yuri
