Invitation Festival de films Canadien
Le festival de films Canadien organisé par The Festivalists nous présente une superbe sélection de films cette année dont cinq films Québécois.
Le Quebec Oz Club organisera une petite réception avant le visionnement du film NITRO d'Alain DesRochers qui sera vendredi le 28 novembre au cinéma Dendy Opera Quays.
C'est un rendez-vous à compter de 17h30 ! Le film NITRO commence à 18h30 alors essayez d'arriver avant le film pour prendre l'apéro qui sera offert gracieusement par les commanditaires du festival. Il y aura de la bière, du vin et du mousseux pour le amis et membres du Quebec Oz Club.

Five French-language premieres coming to Australia for the first time Possible Worlds, Sydney’s 3rd Canadian Film Festival, presents an exciting selection of five French-Canadian films, all of which will be
screening in Australia for the very first time.
Denys Arcand’s long-awaited follow up to the Oscar-winning Barbarian Invasions, Days of Darkness (L’âge des Ténèbres), will open the Festival on November 27th. This hilarious, cerebral
comedy brims with keen and caustic observations on Western society and offers a sharp satire of
office life, suburbia, media inanity and political correctness.
Taking a page from Hollywood, box-office hit Nitro brings fast and furious action to our screens, proving that American blockbusters don’t yet have the monopoly on slick, explosive thrillers. Last seen in the award-winning C.R.A.Z.Y, Michel Côté once again gives a superb performance in family melodrama My Daughter My Angel (Ma Fille Mon Ange), as a father desperate to save his daughter from a descent into the underbelly of Montreal’s porn industry.
The Banquet (Le Banquet) is an incendiary ensemble drama about the ripple effects of student protests in a large Quebec university. Contemporary cinema doesn’t come any more topical than this: unafraid to ask tough questions, The Banquet offers plenty of food for thought.
The Festival will close on December 2nd with Everything Is Fine (Tout Est Parfait), an accomplished debut drama about teenagers caught in the aftermath of a brutal tragedy which is currently taking the Festival circuit by storm.
“I’m thrilled to have such a great variety of French-Canadian films at this year’s festival, all shown for the first time in Australia”, says artistic director Matt Ravier. “From electrifying debuts by new directors such as Everything is Fine’s Yves Christian Fournier to the immediately recognizable work of seasoned pros such as Denys Arcand, there’s a wealth of choice for lovers of French-languagecinema”.
