Cette année marque le 20ième anniversaire du Québec Oz Club de Sydney qui à chaque année depuis 1995 rassemble la communauté Canadienne française, anglaise avec les amis Australiens et de partout dans le monde.  

À l'occasion du 20ième anniversaire, nous préparons un évènement spécial rempli de surprises.  Nous avons aussi le support du Consulat Général du Canada.

Programme

Musique du Québec et spectacle de gigue avec Sarah Louis-Jean.  

Sarah est native de Montréal et a débuté la danse folklorique à l'âge de 14 ans avec les Pieds Légers de Laval, suivi de Reel et Macadam pour enfin danser trois ans à temps plein avec la compagnie de danse les Sortilèges.  Sarah vit maintenant à Sydney et a une carrière de danse et cirque au niveau international.  Sarahlouisjean.com

Cette année, le Québec Oz Club demande votre support pour aider un papa et un petit garçon courageux.

Andrew Sedmihradsky est un Canadien qui a vécu à Melbourne.  Il vit maintenant au Canada et a appris la triste nouvelle que Max, son jeune garçon de 4 ans, est atteint de la dystrophy musculaire progressive de Duchenne qui affecte principalement les garçon et il n'y a pas de cure en ce moment.

Le 21 juin, Andrew et Max vont parcourir une partie du Canada (600km) avec un "cargo bicycle" pour ramasser des fonds pour la recherche afin de trouver la cure de la dystrophy musculaire progressive de Duchenne.

Bonjour/Hi to members and friends of the Québec Oz Club of Sydney

This year the Québec Oz Club is celebrating 20 years of events and gatherings with the community (since 1995).  The club is bringing together French and English Canadians as well as Australian friends and guests from around the world who want to celebrate "La Fête Nationale du Québec" and discover the unique culture and joie de vivre of Québécois.

In order to celebrate this 20 year milestone, we are preparing a special event full of surprises.  We also have the support of the Canadian Consulate General.

PROGRAM

Quebec music and gigue dance performance with Sarah Louis Jean.

Sarah is a professional dancer from Montreal who now lives in Sydney.  She learned traditional folklore dance when she was 14 years old with "les Pieds Légers" from Laval, followed by "Reel and Macadam" to finally dance full time for a period of three years with the famous dance company "les Sortilèges from Montréal".   She now has an international dance and circus career.  Sarahlouisjean.com

This year the Quebec Oz Club would like to raise money for a courageous dad and his son.

Andrew Sedmihradsky is a Canadian who lived in Melbourne who is now facing the challenge of his life.  He learned that his 4-year old son Max had Duchenne muscular dystrophy - a fatal disease that affects boys almost exclusively. There is no cure yet, but researchers are making progress. And he needs our help.

On June 21st, Andrew and Max will undertake Max's Big Ride, a 600km cargo bicycle journey from Ottawa to Hamilton to raise money for research into a cure.
